AAUW is a national organization whose mission is to promote equity for women and girls, lifelong education and positive societal change. It was founded in 1881. Today there are more than 100,000 members and 1300 branches throughout our 50 states in the United States of America.

Our local branch sponsors high school scholarships, encourages girls to explore science, technology, engineering and math through the Tech Trek camp program, presents programs on a variety of topics, and promotes small group gatherings for members to pursue learning, friendship and advocacy. We also partner with CSU, Stanislaus to offer student, e-memberships, and StartSmart workshop.  We support AAUW student branch at CSU, STANISLAUS started in Spring 2018. Branch is reorganizing now, December/January 2024
