MARCH 2024: Branch Bylaws have been updated per AAUW National guidelines; Board approved at March 2024 meeting.

PROGRAMS AND EVENTS, 2025

 

TECH TREK 2025 

Nominations of students from teachers and a counselor at Branch area schools have been completed.Parents are notified. Six girls from Modesto and Turlock schools have been selected by six Branch members who completed the Tech Trek CA AAUW Conduct prior to interviews. Girls selected will attend camp at CSU, Fresno in June 2025. Fees for attendance at camp are paid from funds donated and monies raised at our Fall Fundraiser. Parents of girls selected are asked to pay $50.

 

 

HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS 

High School have been contacted. In the future applications will be reviewed by a committee of Branch members. Graduating Females selected at Ceres High School, Modesto’s Enoch High School, Modesto High School, Turlock’’s Pitman High School, Turlock High School will be honored at a luncheon May 3, 2025. Each girl selected receives a $1,000 scholarship; funded by donations and monies raised at our Fall Scholarship Wine Social Fundraiser.

TTAG : TECH TREK ALUMNI GROUP

TTAG’s first meeting was January 22, 2025 on Zoom; members met again in February, and March with an April meeting scheduled.  The Turlock/ Modesto AAUW Board approved formation of this group. Three future events are in the planning stages by TECH TREK ALUMNI group members from 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 camps. Past Turlock/Modesto AAUW Tech Trek attendees are invited to attend meetings and events. Group Advisor is B. Schlegel.
